Take a Test Drive
You don’t have to become a member right away. Visit our club, get some instruction and have a game of bowls or croquet within an hour. We supply the coaching and all of the equipment and you can do this on up to three occasions before making a decision about membership. There is a small non-refundable fee for the coaching sessions but it gets applied to the first-year half-price membership fee if you decide to join.
More than Bowls and Croquet: We invite you to experience our friendly, social, and strategy-rich sports for yourself. But our club offers more than great play – it’s also a vibrant, welcoming community. All season long, we organize enjoyable social gatherings that bring members together beyond the greens. From Pizza Nights and BBQs to relaxed Potluck Dinners, these events give everyone a chance to unwind, share food, and connect. We also host Family & Friends Days, where members can introduce guests to lawn bowling, croquet, and a casual meal in a warm, easygoing setting. Whether you’re on the lawn or simply enjoying the company, there’s always something happening that makes our club an active, fun, and inclusive place to spend your time. But there’s still more: There’s weekly Bridge throughout the year and weekly Board and Card Games in the off-season in our spacious yet cozy clubhouse.
How to join in: Send us an email at wpglbc@gmail.com, leave us a contact phone number and a club member will give you a call and arrange a time for your Test Drive. You can also call our club phone number (604 224-6556) and leave a voice message but this is a less reliable way to contact us.
Your Test Drive Includes:
- Tour of the club facilities – meet some club members.
- Your first lesson of Lawn Bowling or Croquet – about 1 hour.
- Depending upon the circumstances – play in a game.
- Get answers to all of your questions.
- Happy so far? – arrange for more lessons and play.
Membership form – You will be asked to complete a written membership form if you decide you would like to join the club.
