OUR CLUB
More than Bowls and Croquet: We invite you to experience our friendly, social, and strategy-rich sports for yourself. Our club offers more than great play – it’s also a vibrant, welcoming community. All season long, we organize enjoyable social gatherings that bring members together beyond the greens. From Pizza Nights and BBQs to relaxed Potluck Dinners, these events give everyone a chance to unwind, share food, and connect. We also host Family & Friends Days, where members can introduce guests to lawn bowling, croquet, and a casual meal in a warm, easygoing setting. Whether you’re on the lawn or simply enjoying the company, there’s always something happening that makes our club an active, fun, and inclusive place to spend your time. But there’s still more: There’s weekly Bridge throughout the year and weekly Board and Card Games in the off-season in our spacious yet cozy clubhouse.
You don’t have to become a member right away — come visit our club and take a TEST DRIVE or sign up right away for 3 LESSONS.
How to join in: Send us an email at wpglbc@gmail.com, leave us a contact phone number and a club member will give you a call and arrange a time for your Test Drive or 3 Lessons. You can also call our club phone number (604 224-6556) and leave a voice message but this is a slower way to contact us. Walking by and see a member? Chat with them – they will be happy to give you some info……
Take a Test Drive:
Wear comfy clothes and soft-soled shoes, and you’re ready to go! Enjoy a tour of our club facilities, meet some friendly members, and take part in a short introduction to the basics of lawn bowling or croquet (about one hour). After the demo, you’ll have the chance to try it out hands-on and get a feel for the game. Happy so far? We’re always glad to answer your questions, and if you’d like to continue, we can arrange for lessons and/or share more information about joining the club.
Sign Up for 3 Lessons:
Three official coaching Lessons (about 60 minutes each) for $30. We provide all the equipment and friendly coaching, so you can simply show up in comfy clothes and soft-soled shoes and learn the game. A small, non-refundable $30 fee covers three full coaching lessons, giving you the skills and confidence to play plus all the info about our club. If you decide to join, the $30 fee is applied toward your first-year half-price membership.
Membership Fee
- First Year Bowler, Croquet Player $140 (half price and $30 lesson fee will be deducted)
- Adult full membership $275
- Youth, age <18 $140
- Social Membership $30
- 3 lessons $30, deductible from First Year Membership fee
- Payable by E-transfers, Cheque, Cash. Members are required to fill in our Membership Application form
