2024 Kaweski Triples League
Wednesday Afternoons at 1:30 starting May 15
- Sign-up: Please email Susan (address below) or sign-up on the bulletin board. Sign up early (we need a multiple of 6 bowlers, so the last signees may miss out!) Indicate your preferred position. New bowlers are encouraged to join once they have completed three coaching sessions.
- Teams: Teams will be determined by draw, based on the preferred positions as much as possible.
- Games: All games are played in triples format: 3 players/team, 3 bowls/person/end. Games consist of 8 ends. Two games are played each Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. and approximately 3:00 p.m., with a refreshment break in between.
- Spares: There can be up to two spares/team on a given day. If all regular players are unavailable, the team loses by default. Each team member finds his/her spare and informs the skip. The spare cannot skip. A spares list will be distributed and will be on the bulletin board. Spares must be selected from this list if possible; contact the convenors if there is a problem finding a spare.
- Refreshment break: Everyone each day brings his/her own snack/drink. Coffee and tea will be available.
- Cost: The cost will be decided when the number of participants and games is known but will be approximately $3/day; about half of this will be used for prizes with the remainder going to the club. The skips should contact their team members and collect the money on/by opening day. The skips then submit their team’s payment to the Convenors.
- Scoring: A win is worth 2 points, a tie 1, a loss 0. Net ranking is based on total points for wins/ties/losses and on differential points with a maximum of 10.
- Enjoy! Apart from the above procedures, the normal rules and conventions of lawn bowling will apply. Good bowling!
