Singles Tournaments

A gorgeous, sunny day greeted our 16 competitors for the Women’s and Men’s Club tournaments. There were some very close games with competitive shots being traded one after the other. Elaine Rolstson, Melanie Klintworth and Janis McRonald were the top 3 women placed, and David Crowe, Paul Klintworth and Mark Dix-Cooper took the top 3 places for the men. A special thank you to Kathie Draeseke for all her admin prep (as well as berries!) and also to our volunteer markers: Tracy, Diane, Chuck, Frank and Judy.

Ground Sheets!

Have you been wondering why we are still using those green/black ground sheets so late in the season?

Here’s an early morning photo of the Greens where a ground sheet was not used during one game.

With that sun angle, the damage is obvious.

Spreading sand on the divets helps repair them but that sand is very abrasive on our expensive lawn mower blades….

So what’s the solution?  GROUND SHEETS
