We had our Spring Potluck on 18 Mar 2017. It was attended by 40 people. We all had a good time–and ate lots of good food.

We held our annual Christmas lunch on 3 Dec 2016. This time we were joined by members from the Kerrisdale Lawn Bowling Club, making the lunch even more fun than usual. As usual, we were served excellent food at the University Golf Club.

We held a 2×14 end mixed triples tournament for our Canada Day Cup. 8 teams participated. Although the weather was cloudy in the morning, the sun broke through in the afternoon. The winners were …

The West Point Grey Lawn Bowling Club participated in the Point Grey Fiesta Parade on Sat 18 June 2016. The weather was quite inclement, but we had a good turnout nevertheless. Unfortunately, though, the bowling events afterwards had to be cancelled due to the rain.
BuildDirect, the world’s largest online marketplace for home improvement products, brought 78 of their staff to our club for an afternoon of bowling and general enjoyment. Using 12 rinks, teams rotated playing 4-end games against each other. A prize was handed out at the end. The players (and our volunteers) made this a very successful event.
Our preseason lessons are underway (Mon, Wed, & Fri (i.e., Apr 18, 20, 22, 25, 27, 29) at 1:30-3:30 pm). We have had a good turnout. The new players (and coaches) are having a great time.
On Sat 19 Mar 2016, we held our pre-season pot luck dinner at the Clubhouse. We gorged ourselves on food, and had a great time.
Sun 27 Sep 2015 was an absolutely gorgeous day for our season-closing awards day. Prior to the awards being presented we had a wonderful luncheon arranged by Louise and crew. After everyone had gorged on ham, salads, scalloped potatoes, and gorgeous desserts – all washed down with wine, beer, tea or coffee – a surprising number of members repaired to the greens for a final stellar afternoon of bowling.
On Sun 16 Aug 2015, the Conquest Cycling Club held a fundraising event at our club. About 100 people participated in a fun lawn bowling tournament and other activities to raise funds for the Ride for Cancer. A great time was had by all on a beautiful, sunny day.
