Kitsilano Farmers’ Market is a new publicity venue for our club. This was was a venture for us to gauge interest for new members. The market was busy and bustling, and certainly there were a number of people wanting to find out more information about our club. Indeed, a couple even visited the clubhouse in the afternoon as a result of personal invitation, and they’re planning to attend the National Bowls Day Social next Saturday evening!

There’s nothing better than spending a Tuesday and Thursday evening bowling on our greens into the sunset at the end of a sunny day. 7pm is game time, so plan to arrive by 6:45pm to join in the draw for a relaxing time of good company and great bowling.
Beautiful weather greeted over 50 Bowling and Croquet players for our Official Opening Day. June Wing threw the ceremonial First Bowl, and an enjoyable afternoon was appreciated by all.
40 people attended the informative presentation about Ageing in Place. There were refreshments afterwards – thank you to all who contributed!
Can one really believe that we’ll be bowling at the end of next month? Not judging by colour of the ‘greens’ by these photos taken March 1st!!
